Alexis Langdon - Clinical Psychologist

Hi, Im

ALEXIS LANGDON, MA, LPA, HSP-PA

I’m a Licensed Psychological Associate based in Asheville, North Carolina, with over a decade of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and improve their mental well-being. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, I bring both a competitive spirit and deep empathy to my work—shaped in part by my background as a collegiate athlete and lifelong learner.

I earned my undergraduate degrees from the University of Alabama-Birmingham and Lenoir-Rhyne College, and went on to complete my graduate training at North Carolina Central University. Since becoming licensed in 2012, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of populations across settings, including inpatient psychiatric care, correctional facilities, neuromedical teams, and private practice. My experience spans work with both children and adults.

Outside of work, I enjoy life in the mountains with my husband, son, dog, and cat. We love spending time outdoors and cheering on our favorite sports teams whenever we can.

MY APPROACH

As a therapist, I take a compassionate yet direct approach. I focus on helping clients develop practical coping skills, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and build greater self-awareness. My work often targets automatic, irrational thoughts that contribute to emotional distress and counterproductive behaviors—helping clients create more fulfilling, balanced lives.

I am especially passionate about supporting individuals who want to improve their relationships, athletic performance, careers, or overall sense of satisfaction.
